The Great Imposter

and Others

Donald Murray

Graduate from Medical School at Dalhousie Univeristy

The "Greats"

The Great Imposter. "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler. And even more who are famous in one way or another. But both who Donald Murray had close connections with in his medical career. He had connections with FAME!

In 1953, a new mentor came into town, where Donald was a graduating medical student at Dalhousie in Halifax. Soon, "Dr." Joseph Cyrs became Donald's boss at an outpatient clinic working for the Navy. Granted, Dr. Cyrs, which was his "stage name", was not a certified doctor of any kind! By clicking on the link below, you can see the many jobs the Great Imposter posed as and why he became famous.

A world-class boxer living in Easton, Massachusetts at the time, sat in Gottard Memorial Hospital, ready for his first child to arrive. This was "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, a man who held twelve Ameican boxing records. And Dr. Murray, my grandfather, delivered his baby in the late 1950's.
